In general, Eli is one of the most childish people you'll ever meet his age. He loves to have a good time and tends to joke around in an effort to do so most of the time. He can be absolutely immature when he's in his classroom, since he believes that theater is all about having a damn good time with whatever it is you're doing. He's a total goofball a lot of the times, leading to his being looked upon as a rather failed professor. He tends to be more of a friend to a lot of his students than a professor and rules aren't really his thing. A lot of the time he just kind of ignores their existence, preferring to just let his classroom let loose. Obviously, what with all the other boring classes they have to take, the kids deserve a class that's actually worth taking.
Eli is, however, quite dedicated to his job and he does what he needs to do for the kids no matter what. Even if he seems like he doesn't really have a plan a lot of the time, he actually tends to be quite prepared for his classes and always knows what he's doing. While it may not seem to pertain to whatever lesson they're having, most of what he does has a point. Though his eccentricities sometimes tend to make others question his methods, he's quite capable of explaining himself. Sort of. As far as he's concerned, the stuffy people won't understand him at all and that's quite fine by him.
In everything that he does, Eli is extremely passionate about it. He doesn't bother with anything that doesn't strike him as particularly important to his life, since obviously they would just take up precious time that could be spent doing other things. Especially with his job, Eli throws himself into everything and generally doesn't hold back. He's not the type of guy to be guarded in any way and tends to wear his heart on his sleeve. If he's happy about something, you'll know and if he's upset, you'll know. He doesn't really hide his feelings about people and sometimes is a bit more honest than he probably should be.
With his complete honesty about just about everything, Eli has also managed to become quite the charmer. He doesn't exactly know how to flirt with women, but he likes to talk to them quite a lot. In that regard, he's quite charming and outgoing. He can talk with them and be a complete gentleman, though beyond that he's an absolute fail. He doesn't have a whole lot of experience in the world of women, despite his age, and it shows. Eli is still quite caught up in the whole idea of true love and romance. He's the kind of guy that will show up with flowers and chocolates and open the car door for a girl. He's very much a traditionalist when it comes to romance, but in a very adorable kind of way.
At times, Eli can take on a very old-fashioned kind of mindset. He's of the opinion that women should be treated with the utmost respect and protected from the evil of the world. He's extremely protective over the people that he cares about and would do just about anything for them. He's very much a man's man and likes to feel all macho, since that's obviously what men do. At least, he certainly likes to think so anyways. He's the sort of guy that will insist on doing just about everything for a girl, no matter how trivial it may be.
Strengths:
Passionate- Eli absolutely throws himself into all that he does and tackles everything with more zeal than is probably necessary, which makes him quite good at what he does.
Charming- Even through his fails, he can be a rather charming kind of guy. He's got that killer smile and can lay on the compliments when necessary. Not to mention, he's rather adorable.
Gentlemanly- Eli is absolutely one of the most upstanding men you'll ever meet. He's very respectful around women and treats them just as perfect as they deserve to be treated.
Weaknesses:
Immature- TWhile being goofy is sometimes a good thing, he tends to take it a bit too far at times. Eli is definitely one of those guys that needs to grow up a bit.
Sensitive- Though he may seem like a total man a lot of the time, Eli is actually rather sensitive. Since he lets his emotions show a lot, it's easy to hurt him.
Doting- Eli tends to be very overprotective, which leads to his becoming a tad bit overly doting with his friends or with students at times. He likes to do things for people a bit too much.

Eliwood was born in Tyler, Texas to a very loving family. He was the first child to be born to the family and they couldn't have been happier about it. His parents, Luther and Marnie, had been trying to have children for years and it just hadn't been working out. However, eventually they were graced with a bouncy, happy baby boy. His childhood was, admittedly, rather boring. His parents worked typical, middle class jobs and his mother was home most of the time to look out for him, which was nice because he was raised properly and learned early on how to be a decent guy.
From an early age, his parents had put him into sports. He was on the little league baseball team, played flag football, pretty much whatever sport his parents could get him in. Quite honestly, Eliwood loved it. He liked playing sports and being outside and he was actually pretty good at it. All the way up to middle school, Eliwood was heavily involved in sports, along with his younger brother, Liam. Liam was born three years after Eliwood and was probably one of the best things Eliwood could have asked for. Even though there was a bit of an age difference between them, they were extremely close. Eli was ridiculously protective over Liam and they did pretty much everything together.
However, when Eliwood started in middle school, he started to fall away from sports. He still participated in them, but his interests started to change. It was there that he first started to take part in theater classes and he instantly fell in love with them. He was always a complete ham as a child, but now he had a place to let that energy out. Eli started to participate in the school play, much to his parents dismay, and it was something that he took to incredibly well. He not only enjoyed it, but was also quite talented when it came to acting. He loved to be in front of people and on stage, so he started to get a lot more involved with it.
Although his parents weren't particularly pleased that he was giving ups ports to become more involved with the arts, they did what they could to support his decisions. For high school, Eliwood attended an arts school not far from where he was living. As far as he was concerned, he was living the dream. He loved what he was doing and he was quite convinced that he would someday be a big star. He saw himself joining up with an acting troupe and traveling around the country performing on different stages every night. His parents, however, were insistent that he go to college first. Though they supported him, they also were sensible and wanted to make sure that he had something to fall back on if that path didn't work out for him.
Grudgingly, after high school Eliwood had made the effort to attend college. Since he had to do it at all, Eli decided that he would do it right and applied to attend Carnegie Mellon University. The move to Pittsburgh was a bit strange at first, since he had lived in Texas all his life, but he soon came to find that he enjoyed the college life. Eli stayed for his four years until he had his undergrad and then moved to New York to attend NYU for his graduate degree, where he stayed for his doctorate. Considering it was probably going to be a lot easier to find a job there in New York than it would be in Texas, Eli stayed and found himself an apartment after obtaining his degree there. For the next few years, he went to auditions and took part in a few minor plays that took place in the area, but nothing really big seemed to happen for him.
Although Eliwood was generally content with what he was doing, he found himself becoming less and less enamored with the lifestyle that he was living. He still loved being on stage and performing, but it was too unstable of a job for him. He wanted to do something that he would be able to hold on to and support a family with, now that he was getting to that point in his life. In his search for a job, he stumbled upon a smaller college in Rhode Island that was looking for a theater professor. He had the qualifications for it and it seemed like a much more stable job than what he was already doing, so Eliwood put in an application to see where it went. Upon hearing back from them, Eliwood was quite thrilled by the idea of starting off as a professor. He has now been at Meringue Mountain for the last two years and absolutely loves what he does.| A P P E A R A N C E |
Despite his rather goofy personality, Eliwood tends to dress rather professionally. For the most part, his outfits consist of the typical shirt and tie sort of attire that a professional sort of guy would wear. He feels quite comfortable in them and they make him feel particularly dashing. When not on campus, however, he tends to be a lot more causal. Still dressier than most guys, but he's much less fussy about it when he's off the clock. He's also quite partial to hats, though he tends to only wear them off campus. He generally just dresses however he feels comfortable, since thats what matters most to him when it comes to clothes. He generally has no fashion sense, however, and more often than not his outfits will not match in the least. He'll swear they do, though.
Eli is a rather tall guy, standing at about 6'3, which makes him look rather intimidating. He also has a rather large figure, with broad shoulders, which just adds to that notion. He's not particularly hefty, but he has enough muscle mass that he looks quite healthy. He works out sometimes, so he keeps himself looking fairly built. He keeps himself fairly put together for the most part, but there are days when he leaves his hair a mess and his shirt wrinkled. He's also quite good at keeping up with shaving, but sometimes he likes to leave a bit of a scruff, since he thinks it makes him more manly. Mostly his choice of style each day just depends on how lazy he feels when he wakes up in the morning.
