The first thing that anyone would notice about Tyson's personality is that he is a complete goofball. He's absolutely all about having fun and everything that he does generally revolves around either making a fool of himself or other people around him. He loves a good joke and tends to think that he's rather funny. Which, in general, he's not. He's more just an idiot than anything else, but he likes to think that he's quite the riot. Tyson is very immature when it comes down to it and probably should still be back in high school. It's impossible to take anything he says or does too seriously, since he doesn't quite have the ability to be serious as of yet, nor is he working to fix that. He's quite happy to forever be the silly, class clown sort of guy. At the very least, he's glad that he's sometimes able to put a smile on someone's face.
Ty is a very outgoing young man and loves to talk to people. Generally, he'll chat at anyone around him, no matter who they are. He's not particularly picky when it comes to choosing his mates, since as far as he's concerned everyone can be okay if you give them a chance. At times, this can lead to his being a tad bit annoying because he's a lot more talkative than he should be. He's the kind of guy that will sit down and tell you his entire life story without letting you get a word in edgewise. Not to mention, if he senses that you aren't particularly interested in listening to him or are less than enthused about seeing him, he will work extra hard to make you like him. Generally the people that don't like him at first will be the people that he makes all the more effort to get to know. Of course, he realizes exactly what he's doing and he's mostly just being an annoying prick to those people.
Even if he can sometimes be irritating, Ty is generally a rather helpful sort of person. He would be the guy that you'd want to call at two in the morning because your car broke down, since he wouldn't hesitate to jump up and go help you. Even if he doesn't know you all that well, he's an extremely nice guy when it comes to serious matters and will do just about anything for a friend. However, he's not at all a pushover either and wouldn't be the kind of guy that you could take advantage of. He can be helpful when it's within reason, but if it gets to the point where he feels like he's being used, he can turn into a right ass about it. He doesn't mind helping out, but he's not going to stand back and let you walk all over him, that's for sure.
To any of his friends, Ty is absolutely one of the most loyal friends you'll ever have. He's not the type to turn his back on anyone, no matter what the case. Typically, it would take something extreme for him to ditch a friend and even in those cases he'd feel extremely bad about it. He likes people to know that they can count on him, since it makes him feel a bit better about himself. He's the exact same way when it comes to relationships as well. Even if a lot of the things he says come off as a bit flirtatious, he's actually quite the decent guy. He'll joke around and such with girls, but if he finds himself genuinely in a relationship with someone he cares about, he wouldn't stray from it.
Some people would definitely claim that Ty was a bit of an oddball. With his very goofy personality, he has a very strange way about him. He has a lot of very strange habits that, unless you're watching closely you probably wouldn't pick up on. It's usually stupid little rules that he's got set in his mind and that he refuses to break, but it's often just the little things. Like, he has to eat everything in even numbers or he has to use a different pen for each class, but one of the same brand. He definitely has a very eccentric set of habits that he follows through with on a daily basis and if something happens where he is forced out of it, he gets very huffy and has to go back and fix it.
Ty likes to claim that his habits are all just part of his artistic mojo, but that's not really the case. He is very artistic, however. Everything that he sees is art and in some way perfect for being photographed. His style of art is a bit out of the box and it's never out of the ordinary to see the guy carrying around boxes full of the most random things for some art project that he's working on. He's never seen without his camera and is the sort of guy that will stop in the middle of whatever he's doing to shoot photos if something catches his eye. He could be talking attentively to you one moment and then completely in a different world the next.
Along with his rather strange quirks, Tyson can be a rather emotional kind of guy. He takes offense easily to things and at times will sulk about because of something that someone said. He has a ridiculously large ego that is quite easily damaged. He's a fairly cocky guy and tends to think that he has all kinds of awesome, often taking it personally when people don't seem to agree with him. He tries not to be overly sensitive, but he's obviously very fragile and his poor little feelings can be hurt rather easily. He does try to put on the tough guy image though, just to make himself feel a tad better.
Strengths:
Loyal- Ty is one of the most loyal friends you could find. He's the guy that will stand by you no matter what or would jump up and drop everything he's doing to help out. Even if sometimes it's at his expense, he'd still be there for his mates.
Adaptable- Ty is more of a go with the flow kind of guy and can find a way to make use of whatever the situation is. Be it with people, or with his art, Tyson is quite good at adapting and finding a way to make it awesome.
Fun- If there's one thing Ty is good at, it's having a good time. He's all about going out and just making the best of whatever situation that he's thrown in. He's very goofy, so he's always good when it comes to making people laugh and being ridiculous.
Weaknesses:
Annoying- Because he's so outgoing and talkative, it's not unlikely that people might find Tyson to be a tad annoying at times. He can be very much like a small child when it comes down to it and very immature.
Sensitive- Tyson thinks very highly of himself and so tends to be very easily offended when people insult him. He takes it to heart, no matter how dumb the comment is, and sometimes gets very sulky when it happens.
Immature- It's very rare that Tyson is able to keep a serious face on for more than just a few seconds. He's a total goof and loves to just have fun, though generally that fun is very dumb and immature.

Tyson's parents, Carson and Jillian, met when they were in high school. Young and quite in love with the idea of love, the two decided that they were meant to be together for the rest of their lives. They started dating in their Junior year and were considered the high school's cutest couple. By the time they had graduated, their wedding was already planned and they were both more than excited to be officially married. Their parents, however, were less than pleased by the idea. Neither Carson or Jillian had a legitimate job or any plans to get one in the near future. Though Carson and Jillian may have been jaded by the concept of love, their parents most definitely were not. However, they could do little to stop it, as both kids were quite determined to be wed.
Once married, the two moved into a small apartment in Boston, which they paid for with the money earned from their "jobs." Carson worked at a local convenience store as a manager and Jillian had a job at a bar. Not exactly ideal, but they were still young and in love, so it didn't matter to them. However, all that changed when they learned that they were going to have a child. They knew that at their present situation, there was no way that they could afford to have a child. They weren't about to give the baby up, however, and so they started to make plans. Unfortunately, their plans weren't exactly the most ideal either. Carson had always been interested in art and it was something of a passion of his. So, he decided that the best way to support a child would be to start off his career as a painter.
Though Carson was talented, it wasn't like he could make a career out of such a thing within just a year. He was able to sell a few things now and then locally, but nothing to the point where it was seriously lucrative. By the time their baby was born, they were in much the same position as when they had started. It was a rough time for them, trying to make ends meet, working their respective jobs and caring for the baby all at the same time. It came to the point where they rarely saw each other anymore and even the times they did see each other it was mostly just fighting and arguing over the situation they had gotten themselves into. Jillian wanted Carson to step up and find himself a more serious job, but Carson was convinced that he would find his big break in the art industry before long and refused to give up what he was doing.
The once happy marriage had quickly deteriorated into simply a marriage of necessity. The passion the two had had for each other had fizzled out and they were left with only the stress and hardship of raising a child with what little they had. Jillian's parents were particularly vocal about the two needing a divorce and they often urged her to move back home with Tyson. Admittedly, Jillian considered it. She was stressed out, ready for a break and not sure she even cared for Carson anymore. All in all, she was coming to realize that it was something of a big mistake. Then, she met James. Working at a bar, Jillian met all kinds of people, but one customer in particular started to stand out to her. James had recently moved to Boston from New York, a college graduate with a hotshot job. He was, in essence, everything that Carson wasn't.
The more that James started to come on to Jillian, the less she started to care about her current marriage. It wasn't but a few short months before James proposed and Jillian asked Carson for a divorce. Carson was devastated by the news, but at the same time knew that it was probably for the best. At least this way his son could have someone take care of him properly for a change. Tyson had just turned two and though he knew that something was going on, he was rather too young to really understand it. So, Jillian moved in with James and took Tyson with her to be raised up properly.
At first, it was everything that Jillian had wanted from life and then some. James was suave, intelligent, had a respectable job working as a lawyer and was an absolute doll to Tyson. However, things quickly started to change. Having only know James for a short time, Jillian hadn't gotten to really know the man. He became very demanding, ordering that both Jillian and Tyson take to becoming the perfect family for his image. Growing up, Tyson was forced into a very strict lifestyle. There was little room for having fun and generally James had the boy learning or helping around the house. Anything that would make Tyson more "respectable" he was forced to do.
The older that Tyson got, the more bitter about the situation he became. He hated the fact that his mother just let James boss her around like he did and took to sticking up for her as soon as he was old enough to know better. The one reprieve that he got was the time that he spent with his birth father, Carson. Over the years, Carson's career had started to take off and he was now making a decent living on his own as an artist. It was something that Tyson came to admire and become heavily interested in. Of course, James wouldn't hear about it one damn bit. He wanted Tyson to follow in his footsteps and become a lawyer or something else that was looked upon with respect.
However, when the time came for Tyson to decide where he was going to attend college, his first choice was an art college in Rhode Island. James pitched a bit of a fit about it, but Tyson honestly couldn't have cared less. It was something he was passionate about and that wasn't going to stop him from following his dream. It worked out for his father well enough, so he didn't see why he couldn't do it himself. Tyson has now been at Meringue Mountain for a year and couldn't be any happier with his decision. He spends the majority of his vacations with his father, Carson, but does make the trip at times to see his mother and James.| A P P E A R A N C E |
Tyson is attractive. At least, that's the first adjective that he would use to describe himself. He's got a rather built body, which comes from his very dedicated training at the gym and is quite tall, standing at about 6'2. He has a bit of a tanned skin tone, but generally looks much whiter than he should, since he tends to spend a lot of time indoors. He doesn't have many freckles to speak of and his skin tends to be particularly uniform in color. Though he doesn't take much time in general to keep his appearances perfect, he does shave quite frequently, since he feels that he looks rather odd with any sort of facial hair.
Aside from his face, however, Tyson does little with himself. He keeps his hair short so that he doesn't have to mess with it, since he really can't be bothered to be doing his hair every day. He tends to just leave it a floppy brown mess, but obviously a very good looking floppy brown mess. His hair is quite dull, for the most part, but he thinks that it works for him. His eyes, as well, tend to be rather boring. They're the same boring brown as his hair and that's just fine by him. Generally, because of his lack of caring, Tyson tends to take on a bit of a disheveled look. Though, he claims that it takes quite a bit of talent to look that good with so little effort.
His style of clothing isn't particularly interesting either. His wardrobe has the typical t-shirt and jeans sort of thing, which is generally what he'll wear when the weather is good. Otherwise, he'll just throw on a jacket over it and be done with it. Sometimes, if he's feeling particularly outlandish, he'll wear neon colored pants, but that's generally only to get attention. As far as shoes go, you'll never see him wearing anything other than a pair of white or black trainers, which he insists must be switched out every day, no matter what matches better with his outfit.
